Doggy Cruiser Sizing Guide

At Doggy Cruiser, your safety and comfort are our priority. We want you and your best friend to enjoy the ride, so it’s really important to buy the correct size. Just like us, dogs come in all shapes and sizes so please don’t guess how tall Fido is – get your tape measure and follow the instructions below.

Measuring instructions :

You need to measure your dog in the same position as it sits in the Doggy Cruiser. This means measuring it while on its back legs, bottom on the floor (a ‘begging’ position).

Ask someone to hold the dog’s front paws up and off the ground, so its back is straight while you measure from the base of its tail to the collar.

Repeat this measurement to double-check.

Use this measurement to choose the correct size.

These are purely for guidance – it is far better to measure your dog.

When it comes to choosing the right size the key things to remember are:

  • Height – this is the key measurement so make sure that you measure your dog in the correct position (as explained above).
  • Weight – if your dog weighs far more than the maximum weight specified by the bag it is a good idea to go to one size larger than the height specifies.
  • If you have opted for a larger bag due to your dog’s weight, it is possible to put a Doggy Cruiser foam booster seat into the bottom of the bag which will lift your dog to the right height.

Please contact us if you have any issues or problems with finding the correct sized bag for your dog.
